Directions:

I’ve timed the journey and it takes about an hour for me – if you think you drive slow or the traffic is going to be busy (i.e. rush hour) than me please allow extra time!

Head out of Leicester northbound on the M1, turn off at junction 23a or 24 and get onto the A5o towards Stoke, Uttoxerter, Alton Towers Etc… Drive for about 30 miles and about 15minutes after the JCB plant and just before going into Stoke you’ll see a sign saying Meir Park take that ramp off the A50 and turn right at this roundabout following the signs for Caverswall. After a mile or so, at the end of the first road, you’ll need to take a right and then again at the village center you’ll need to take another right.) There are two churches by the village center so be careful to go to the right one! We’re getting married at the CofE because we the Catholic Church are a bunch of ejits. The venue for the reception can be seen from the church but unfortunately you have to drive all the way around to the other side as no one is allowed to walk via the moat’s bridge. On the other side of the castle you will find the castle’s car park by going back through the village center taking a left from where you’ve just come from and then taking the first left you come across. The gates to the car park will be on your left.

Alternatively If you are coming from Leicester just for the reception come off the A50 just before Stoke and head towards Caverswall as directed above and you”ll notice the car Park gates on your right side at a left bend not long after the farm and the speed limit sign.

Food:

Guests attending the day will be treated to a three course wedding breakfast and those attending the evening function will be fed Hog Roast.

The main course of the wedding breakfast will be beef. Please state on your RSVP whether you will require a vegetarian option
