World is only 70 years old
Apparently the history of the whole world only stretches back 70 years, well, according to any tv channel on sky. Paula informs me her great nanna is 96 years old and this is obviously a lie because they have never covered these years on the History Channel.
We subscribe to the Knowledge package from bSKYb in our house which includes the Discovery Channel the the likes and all they ever broadcast is documentaries of World War II and onwards. I suppose it’s the demographics of the average Discovery Channel viewer being Male (women don’t care about facts, they would rather be entertained by women gossiping on a housing estate in Manchester or the goings on in an Accident and Emergncy ward in an American City.) So I figure that the reason that they only show WWII and onwards was because thats when weapons got cool and blokes obviously love guns, fighter jets, rockets, tanks, etc. It’s just a pity that everything everyone has ever done before WWII obviously never happened or is so insignificant that it is not worth documenting by a tv channel.
He works full time in IT and spends his evenings feeding the farm that is his home has become. Mark loves playing Ultimate every now and again, toying with his camera and has just started scuba diving.
